For fans of The 1975, Walk the Moon, and Passion Pit, this upbeat pop band from Nashville are the perfect way to start your day. “Talk Too Much” was the band’s first major single back in 2016, and it remains their classic tune.
National Express by The Divine Comedy
The Divine Comedy is a bizarre, quirky band based in Ireland, and while they formed in the 1990s, they have since regrouped to continue producing music only the mind of Nial Hannon could create. ‘National Express’ from their 1998 album Fin de Siecle remains a feel-good tune for all those wintery mornings.
Yoko Ono by Moby Rich
You’ll soon become obsessed with this song; there’s simply no other way to put it. Moby Rich are an L.A. based duo, and their upbeat and irresistibly catchy single ‘Yoko Ono’ is a love song about finding the person who matches your level of uniqueness.

Interpolating the 1967 hit, ‘I Think We’re Alone Now’ by Tommy James & the Shondells, this 21st century takes on a classic was featured in the third season of Netflix’s Atypical. It’s a perfect song for late-night drives and is a great mood-booster.

Florence recently returned after a 4-year hiatus with her 2018 album ‘High As Hope’, closely followed by this single just last year. No song signals this return better than ‘Moderation’, with Welch’s powerful vocals announcing her arrival back to the music scene.

‘On Your Side’ by the Australian sister duo, The Veronica’s skilfully combines synth-pop and EDM to create a song that’ll have you dancing and singing along within one play. Pairing wistful lyrics about a romantic relationship with a beat perfect for pre-drinks, this offering by the Origliasso twins is a great addition to any New Year playlist.
Upside Down by Holy Moly and the Crackers
A mixture of blues, folk, and indie rock, this tune will fit most music tastes and wake you up before a seminar.
No Problem by Dylan Schneider
This country-pop hit is a different offering for you to try. Dylan Schneider’s ‘No Problem’ is a memorable song offering inspiration from the melodies of modern Nashville, while its lyrics aren’t dissimilar to the offerings of Shawn Mendes and Dan + Shay. Telling the story of a young relationship still in its’ honeymoon phase,’ Schneider sings that he ‘can’t say no’ to his love interest.
Rumble and Sway by Jamie N Commons
A combination of swing and rock, this song is perfect for dancing to while you’re cooking your breakfast first thing. While Jamie N Commons usually goes for a dark and moody tone, comparable to the likes of Nick Cave or Kill It Kid, this change of pace is just what you need.
